Alexandra Hart is a Fairmined Licensed designer goldsmith, activist and advocate, using and promoting responsibly-sourced materials for couture and conceptual art jewelry.
Alexandra Hart is known for her sophisticated and artful couture jewelry and metal sculpture. With both Bachelors and Masters degrees in art and metalsmithing, with fashion experience designing for Lagerfeld and Givenchy jewelry, and with fine jewelry design and manufacturing with Barbara Heinrich Studio, she has achieved the synergy among artistic inspiration, high design and skillful craftsmanship that many artists spend their entire careers chasing.
Alexandra has been working to promote socially and ecologically responsible business practices in the jewelry industry and to consumers since the launch of her business in 1995. She actively serves as in advisory and Director roles with Ethical Metalsmiths, Compassion for African Villages, and Jewellery and Gemstone Association Africa, and is involved in other organizations for good, blending her designer business with activist roles.
